At JLT Performance Gym, we pride ourselves on pushing athletes to reach their highest potential—whether they’re NFL players or everyday fitness enthusiasts. This year, we’ve had the privilege of training some incredible NFL players during their offseason, and we’re thrilled to see their hard work paying off as they hit the field this season. These athletes are currently in the midst of their NFL playing season, performing at the top of their game, and making big plays each week!

Offseason Training: The Grind Behind the Glory

When you think of NFL athletes, you probably imagine them in the spotlight—making those jaw-dropping catches, sacking quarterbacks, or scoring touchdowns. But the truth is, their success on game day starts long before the season begins, during the grueling offseason training that takes place at JLT Performance Gym and beyond.

Throughout the offseason, our NFL clients push their limits with a tailored mix of training techniques designed to improve their strength, agility, speed, and sport-specific skills. Their training routine includes:

  • Gym Workouts: Intense, customized strength and conditioning sessions to build explosive power, endurance, and muscle mass. From heavy lifting in our Olympic racks to agility drills on our indoor turf, the gym is the foundation of their offseason preparation.

  • Running the Beaches of Santa Monica: To boost cardiovascular fitness and endurance, our athletes hit the sand dunes of Santa Monica Beach. Running on the uneven sand challenges their legs and core, helping them build stamina while improving their speed for the season ahead.

  • Hill Sprints: Whether it’s pushing themselves up the steep inclines of local hills or running sprints on our turf field, our NFL clients perform hill sprints to build explosive power and speed. These high-intensity workouts are key for building the quick-twitch muscle fibers required to excel on the field.

  • Sport-Specific Field Work: Our athletes also train with specific football drills that mimic game situations—improving their footwork, agility, and reaction time. This fieldwork helps sharpen their skills for quick directional changes, tackles, and high-speed movements they’ll need during games.
